| SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (SES)
Two Newport News Schools (Palmer and Sedgefield) offer
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) to Eligible students. Eligible
students are all students from low-income families who attend these
schools.
What is SES?
SES is free, extra academic help the division is providing to your
child to help his or her academic performance. SES must take place
outside of regular school hours. The school division pays the cost
of the academic help to the SES provider.
How do I sign up my child for SES?
Check your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of SES providers from the list
on the Academic Tutoring Application, and return this list to the
school. Applications are available at the school.
Also, you may sign up via the internet. Click the button below
and complete the application online. The
school will notify you of the SES provider and start date.
