IN THE NEWS NN School Board appoints Donaldson to vacant seat (July 2, 2008) -- At its special meeting held Wednesday morning, July 2, the Newport News School Board appointed Richard B. “Rick” Donaldson, Jr. to fill the unexpired term of Dr. Patricia Woodbury. Mr. Donaldson was sworn in at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning during a Special Oath of Office Ceremony in the administration building auditorium. The School Board organizational meeting was held following the Oath of Office Ceremony. Mr. Everette Hicks was voted as the 2008-2009 School Board Chairman, and Mr. Michael Wagner was voted as the 2008-2009 School Board Vice-Chairman.
