First Generation ProjectThe purpose of "First Generation" project is to identify students that will be the first person in their immediate family to graduate from high school and/or apply to a college or university. The "First Generation" project will help students understand the requirements for graduation and assist them as they plan for college. Counselors, teachers and administrators will meet with students monthly to cover important lessons and activities. Some of the lessons/activities includes: adjusting to high school, responsibility, peer pressure, organizational skills, high school course planning, credits, SOL's, career interest inventories, study skills, time management, healthy body/healthy mind, guest speakers, standardized tests, PSAT/PSST, SAT, ACT, college planning, financial aid, college field trips, summer jobs and programs, etc. Please see committee chairs below for a student application or contact me for more information.
