Job Summary:
Position is responsible for monitoring and assisting students during breakfast and lunch.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Desire to put forth best effort in all assigned duties.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
Reports to: School Principal
Essential Duties
- Seats students in the cafeteria.
- Monitors student behavior by circulating and interacting with students during meals; encouraging students to wait in line in an orderly fashion; encouraging students to focus on eating and not talking; encouraging students to pick up their trash; encouraging students to leave the cafeteria in an orderly fashion.
- Monitors students as they use the trash cans.
- Cleans the tables, chairs, and floors where students have eaten.
- Sweeps the cafeteria floor thoroughly at the completion of lunch.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Target Date of Employment: 2008
Rate of Pay: $7.45 per hour (2 to 3 hours per day)
