Assistive Technology

What is Assistive Technology?

Assistive Technology or AT is legally defined as " any piece of equipment or product system, whether acquired commercially, off the shelf, modified, or customized that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities"(20 U.S.C., Chapter 33 Section 1401(25).

Assistive Technology Services are defined as "any service that directly assists a child with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an AT device".

NNPS Assistive Technology Resource Center

The Assistive Technology Resource Center (ATRC) is located in front of the Technology Center at: 12511 Warwick Boulevard (corner of Wellseley and Warwick).

Directions:
From 64 J.Clyde Morris Blvd. Take J. Clyde to Warwick Blvd. and make a right. Go past School Board Office and Todd Stadium. Make a left onto Wellseley and an immediate left into the Tech Center . Park on the Warwick Blvd. side. The ATRC is in Suite F (on the corner of Wellesley and Warwick).
