
Adult and Continuing Education Class Offerings
ADULT BASIC EDUCATION (Pre-GED)
Students review basic skills in Reading, Writing, Math and English.
ESOL (English for speakers of other languages)
These classes will help non-English and limited English speakers
improve their speaking, writing and reading in English.
GED PREP
Preparation for taking the GED Exam.
GED PRACTICE TEST
The GED Practice Test is a half length GED Test and is a good
indicator of whether a student is ready to take the GED Exam.
GED EXAMINATION
This test is given in the Newport News Testing Center at Warwick
High School. The fee for the GED Exam is $45.00. A $7 fee will be
charged for each individual retest. Pre registration is required
and space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Click

EXTERNAL DIPLOMA PROGRAM
The National External Diploma Program is a high school diploma
program for mature adults, 21 and over, who acquired their academic
skill through life and work experiences and can demonstrate competencies
in an applied performance assessment process. There is a fee for
this program. Call our counselor at 283-7830 to find out
the current fee structure or to get more information about the External
Diploma Program.
BUSINESS AND COMPUTER CLASSES
We offer a variety of business and computer classes each semester.
GENERAL INTEREST COURSES
Classes include Conversational French, Conversational Spanish,
Conversational German, and Boating.
VIRTUAL CLASSROOMS
We also offer courses in a variety of subjects via a virtual
